    De volta às raízes: O esqui de Telemark

    O estilo de esqui de Telemark é praticado por um pequeno grupo de entusiastas de todas as partes do mundo, dedicados e comprometidos com essa combinação extraordinária de elegância e velocidade furiosa. Caso você vá até a estação, vai facilmente poder observar os esquiadores enquanto eles dançam ladeira abaixo.

    O esqui de Telemark se difere do esqui alpino tradicional pelo estilo e pelo equipamento necessário e é considerado uma maneira mais rítmica e fluida de descer uma montanha coberta de neve.

    Com a comercialização do esqui recreativo e a expansão dos resorts de esqui, a técnica do esqui de Telemark ficou restrita a um grupo seleto de participantes. Já nos anos 1950, as curvas de Telemark estiveram próximas de se tornarem um tesouro esquecido. Entretanto, a década de 1980 foi marcada pelo resgate do estilo e, atualmente, o esqui de Telemark é amplamente praticado em muitos centros de esqui na Noruega.

    Se você acha que a primavera marca o fim do esqui, lembre-se de que existem resorts de esqui de altitude na Noruega, onde você pode se divertir na neve durante todo o verão.

    No entanto, começar o dia cedo é essencial. As geleiras podem estar congeladas nas primeiras horas da manhã, mas derretem com os primeiros raios de sol e proporcionam boas horas de esqui. Por volta do meio-dia, as pistas apresentam sinais de degelo e não é mais possível esquiar – mas o momento se torna perfeito para uma cerveja gelada, um mergulho ou para pegar um bronzeado.

    O funcionamento dos resorts de esqui de verão depende da incidência de neve e das condições do tempo. Portanto, verifique os informes de incidência de neve antes de sua viagem.

    Segurança nas montanhas

    Cuide de sua segurança nas montanhas seguindo estas simples regras de ouro:

    1. Planeje sua viagem e informe outras pessoas sobre o itinerário planejado.
    2. Adapte seu roteiro de acordo com seu nível de experiência, habilidade e condições.
    3. Esteja atento à previsão do tempo e aos avisos de risco de avalanches.
    4. Prepare-se para o possível mau tempo e para geadas, mesmo em trajetos curtos.
    5. Traga o equipamento necessário de modo que possa ajudar a si mesmo e aos outros.
    6. Escolha roteiros seguros. Saiba identificar áreas com risco de avalanches e com gelo que ofereçam riscos.
    7. Use um mapa e uma bússola. Esteja sempre ciente de sua exata localização.
    8. Não há por que se envergonhar caso você decida rvoltar para sua base.
    9. Preserve suas forças e busque um abrigo, sempre que necessário.
